Vote for Me!

Ever wondered where leaders get their inspiration?

It might be hiding in unexpected places like a children's book!

Recently, I read an interesting kids' book called "Vote for Me" with my daughter.

The story is about a class election where two kids want to be class president.

To my delight, the story presented a list of key attributes of a great leader:

Listens to Others: Leaders who listen well understand their team's needs and ideas.

Has Ideas and Opinions: They contribute valuable thoughts and are not afraid to share their perspectives.

Asks for Opinions: Great leaders value everyone's input and encourage open communication.

Check Ideas: They take the time to review and consider different suggestions before making decisions.

Clarifies Ideas: Leaders ensure that everyone understands the goals and plans clearly.

Makes Sure Everyone Has a Turn: They create inclusive environments where everyone has a chance to participate and contribute.

It’s a wonderful reminder that leadership is about understanding, collaboration, and fairness.

… and leadership lessons can be found in the most unexpected places!
